HT3510 vs HT4014 Telehandler: Capacity, Reach and Application Differences

The HAMAC HT3510 offers a 3,500 kg rated capacity and a 10 m maximum lift height. The HT4014 increases rated capacity to 4,000 kg and maximum lift height to approximately 14 m. Both use 4x4 rough-terrain drive, but they suit different placement requirements.

Choose between these construction telehandlers by checking the load you need to place at the required height and forward reach. Maximum capacity and maximum lift height should not be treated as capabilities available together.

The HAMAC HT3510 3.5 ton 10m telehandler is positioned for flexible handling across construction, agricultural and industrial applications. Its listed crab-steering function allows diagonal movement for alignment near walls, truck sides and scaffold lines.

The HAMAC HT4014 4 ton 14m telehandler is worth evaluating when projects require higher placement points or greater rated capacity. Confirm the final dimensions, steering options and attachment configuration before ordering.

Capacity and Reach: What the Numbers Really Mean

In a 3.5 ton vs 4 ton telehandler comparison, the HT4014 provides 500 kg more rated capacity. However, this does not mean it can lift 500 kg more than the HT3510 at every working position.

Maximum lift height describes vertical reach, not horizontal forward reach. A 14m telehandler does not automatically provide 14 m of horizontal reach. Available capacity depends on the boom position, load centre, attachment and operating configuration specified in the applicable load chart.

For roof material lifting or placing pallets beyond an obstacle, identify the load weight, required height and horizontal distance first. Then compare the permitted load at that exact position on each model's official chart. Include packaging and handling accessories as required by the manufacturer's instructions.

A 3,500 kg rating does not guarantee a 3,500 kg lift at 10 m, and a 4,000 kg rating does not guarantee a 4,000 kg lift at 14 m. For a general explanation, read JLG's guide to understanding telehandler load capacity charts. This explains the principles; only the correct HAMAC chart can confirm a HAMAC machine's permitted capacity.

Vertical height and horizontal reach are different measurements. Confirm the permitted load at the required placement point.

Which Telehandler Fits Your Application?

Project Requirement Model to Evaluate First What to Confirm
Truck unloading, site transport and placement within 10 m HT3510 Actual load-chart capacity, access dimensions and daily work frequency.
Alignment alongside walls, trucks or scaffold lines HT3510 Crab-steering operation, clearance and safe approach space.
Frequent placement above 10 m, up to approximately 14 m HT4014 Capacity at the required height and forward reach, ground conditions and setup.
Loads above 3,500 kg and up to 4,000 kg HT4014 Whether the exact working position permits the complete load.
Industrial platforms, roof-level supply and multi-storey material handling Compare both models against the placement requirements Height, reach, attachment, load centre and available working space.

A 10m telehandler may cover your routine tasks when all required placement points fall within its approved working envelope. A 14m telehandler becomes more relevant when higher material supply is a regular requirement rather than an occasional task.

Neither maximum height nor a higher capacity rating proves that a model will fit a narrow site. Compare overall width, turning space, machine weight and ground conditions separately. Suspended loads or personnel platforms require specific approval, procedures and compliance with applicable local rules.
