Crawler Scissor Lift

CSL Electric Tracked Aerial Work Platform 6.8m–8m

HAMAC CSL Series crawler scissor lifts are compact electric tracked aerial work platforms designed for safe and efficient vertical access on uneven terrain. Unlike conventional wheeled scissor lifts, the tracked undercarriage provides improved traction and distributes machine weight across a larger ground-contact area, making the CSL Series suitable for soft ground, gravel, grass, slopes, construction sites, landscaping projects, and outdoor maintenance work.

The CSL Series includes the CSL60 and CSL80 standard crawler scissor lifts, together with CSL60OR and CSL80OR models equipped with automatic self-leveling hydraulic outriggers. With maximum working heights from 6.8m to 8.0m, a rated platform capacity of 230kg, 40% gradeability, and battery-powered operation, these tracked aerial work platforms provide a practical access solution for customers who need mobility beyond smooth indoor floors.

Working Height:6.8-8.0m
Lifting Capacity:230kg
Platform Extension Length:0.9m

The electric crawler scissor lift uses a robust scissor lifting mechanism to raise operators, tools, and approved materials vertically. Its rubber crawler tracks provide stable movement over uneven or sensitive surfaces where conventional wheel-driven access platforms may have difficulty maintaining traction or may cause more concentrated ground pressure.

CSL60 and CSL80 are designed for compact tracked access work, while the CSL60OR and CSL80OR models add hydraulic outriggers for automatic leveling. The outrigger system can level the machine by up to 4.5° in the front-to-back direction and up to 10° side-to-side, subject to the operator’s manual, ground-bearing conditions, and applicable safety regulations.

Common FAQs

What is a crawler scissor lift?
A crawler scissor lift is a tracked mobile elevating work platform designed to lift operators, tools, and approved materials vertically. Instead of conventional wheels, it uses rubber crawler tracks to improve traction and distribute machine weight across a larger ground-contact area. HAMAC CSL crawler scissor lifts are suitable for construction, landscaping, outdoor maintenance, soft ground, gravel, grass, and selected indoor applications.
What is the difference between a crawler scissor lift and a wheeled scissor lift? +
A wheeled scissor lift is generally intended for firm, level floors or prepared surfaces, while a crawler scissor lift uses rubber tracks for improved traction on uneven, soft, or unprepared terrain. The tracked undercarriage helps the CSL Series travel over grass, soil, gravel, and construction-site surfaces where a standard wheeled electric scissor lift may be less suitable.
What models are available in the HAMAC CSL crawler scissor lift range? +
The HAMAC CSL Series includes CSL60 and CSL80 standard tracked scissor lifts, plus CSL60OR and CSL80OR models with automatic self-leveling hydraulic outriggers. CSL60 and CSL60OR provide a 6.8m maximum working height, while CSL80 and CSL80OR provide an 8.0m maximum working height.
What working height is available on CSL crawler scissor lifts? +
CSL crawler scissor lifts are available with maximum working heights of 6.8m and 8.0m. The CSL60 platform reaches a maximum platform height of 4.8m, while the CSL80 reaches 6.0m. Maximum working height normally includes an approximate 2m operator reach allowance above the platform floor.
Can a crawler scissor lift work on soft ground or grass? +
Yes. The rubber crawler undercarriage is designed to improve mobility on suitable soft terrain, grass, gravel, soil, and unfinished construction surfaces. However, operators must inspect ground stability, avoid hidden voids, trenches, steep edges, and unstable soil, and ensure that the ground can support the machine and platform load before operating.
Can the CSL crawler scissor lift be used indoors? +
Yes. CSL models use electric drive and non-marking hard rubber crawler tracks, providing zero local exhaust emissions and relatively low operating noise. This makes them suitable for selected indoor work, including warehouses, factories, exhibition venues, atriums, and maintenance areas, provided that floor loading, access width, ventilation, and operating conditions are suitable.
Do rubber crawler tracks damage finished floors? +
The CSL Series uses hard non-marking rubber crawler tracks designed to reduce marks and surface damage during travel and zero-radius turning. However, users should always confirm the floor-bearing capacity and surface condition before use, especially on polished concrete, tile, resin flooring, raised floors, or other sensitive finished surfaces.
What is the platform capacity of the CSL Series? +
CSL60, CSL80, CSL60OR, and CSL80OR each provide a rated platform capacity of 230kg. The extension platform is rated for 115kg. The total load must include all operators, tools, materials, cables, accessories, and any approved equipment carried on the platform or extension deck.
How many people can work on a CSL crawler scissor lift platform? +
The CSL Series is rated for a maximum platform occupancy of two persons. Operators must comply with the rated platform capacity of 230kg and the extension-platform capacity of 115kg. Never exceed the machine’s stated load limits, even if the number of people on the platform remains within the permitted occupancy limit.
What is the gradeability of a CSL crawler scissor lift? +
CSL tracked scissor lifts have a maximum gradeability of 40% when stowed and operated under the specified conditions. Gradeability refers to the machine’s ability to climb a slope while the platform is lowered; it does not mean that the platform may be elevated or operated on a slope without proper leveling and compliance with the operator’s manual.
What is the difference between CSL and CSL OR models? +
CSL60 and CSL80 are standard electric crawler scissor lifts with rubber tracks for terrain mobility. CSL60OR and CSL80OR add automatic self-leveling hydraulic outriggers, which help level the machine on suitable uneven ground. The OR models can provide leveling ability of up to 4.5° front-to-back and up to 10° side-to-side, subject to site conditions and safe operating requirements.
Can CSL OR models operate on slopes and uneven ground? +
CSL OR models are designed for suitable uneven-ground applications because their hydraulic self-leveling outriggers can support machine setup on moderate slopes. The operator must still verify ground-bearing capacity, check for holes and unstable surfaces, deploy outriggers according to the operating manual, and ensure that the platform is level before elevating.
Can a CSL crawler scissor lift drive while elevated? +
The CSL Series has a reduced raised travel speed of 0.7km/h, compared with a stowed travel speed of 1.7km/h. Elevated travel must only take place on firm, level, obstacle-free surfaces and within all limits stated in the official operator’s manual. Operators should lower the platform when terrain conditions, slope, visibility, or site hazards make raised travel unsafe.
What safety features are included on CSL tracked scissor lifts? +
Standard features include a tilt alarm system, fault diagnosis system, oil-tube explosion protection, automatic brake system, safety maintenance support bar, proportional controls, emergency lowering, manual brake release, motion alarm, fault-code display, flashing light, buzzer, hour meter, external charging indicator, AC socket in the platform, and maintenance-free battery. An overload sensor and handheld diagnostic device are available as optional equipment.
How do I choose between CSL60, CSL80, CSL60OR, and CSL80OR? +
Choose CSL60 for 6.8m working-height applications on suitable uneven terrain, and CSL80 when an 8.0m working height is required. Choose CSL60OR or CSL80OR when the jobsite also requires automatic hydraulic leveling support for appropriate slopes or uneven ground. Before ordering, confirm working height, platform load, ground condition, access route, floor or soil bearing capacity, transport requirements, and local certification needs.

*Technical data, standard equipment, optional configuration, ground suitability, permitted slope, and operating limits may vary by model, destination market, and final configuration. Always confirm the final specification and follow the official operator’s manual before purchase or use.
