HAMAC dual fuel forklifts are suitable for factory logistics, truck loading, warehouse loading areas, rental fleets, and mixed indoor-outdoor material handling with sufficient ventilation.
What is the difference between an LPG forklift and a dual fuel forklift? +
An LPG forklift is designed to operate on liquefied petroleum gas only, while a dual fuel forklift can use both LPG and gasoline. A HAMAC LPG / gasoline dual fuel forklift provides additional flexibility for customers whose LPG cylinder supply, gasoline availability, or fuel costs may change between locations or projects.
What capacities are available for HAMAC dual fuel forklifts? +
HAMAC dual fuel forklifts are available from 1.5 tons to 5 tons. The main range includes 1.5T, 1.8T, 2T, 2.5T, 3T, 3.5T, 4T, and 5T dual fuel forklift models. The 2.5 ton dual fuel forklift, 3 ton dual fuel forklift, and 3.5 ton LPG/gasoline forklift are common choices for factory logistics, truck loading, and general industrial pallet handling.
Can a dual fuel forklift be used indoors? +
A dual fuel forklift can be used in an indoor or semi-indoor work area only when ventilation is sufficient and local safety, emission, and workplace regulations are met. LPG generally produces lower emissions than gasoline, but neither fuel option makes the forklift emission-free. For enclosed warehouses, food facilities, pharmaceutical operations, or places requiring zero exhaust emissions, HAMAC recommends an electric forklift.
How does an LPG / gasoline dual fuel forklift change fuel? +
The exact fuel switching method depends on the installed engine and dual fuel system. In general, the forklift is configured to operate with LPG from the mounted cylinder or gasoline from its fuel system. The switching procedure, safe shutdown steps, and maintenance requirements must follow the supplier’s operating manual and be carried out by trained personnel.
What are the benefits of a dual fuel forklift? +
The main benefit of a dual fuel forklift is operating flexibility. Customers can use LPG when quick cylinder replacement and cleaner-burning fuel are preferred, or gasoline when it is more readily available at the work site. This can help reduce interruptions caused by local fuel supply changes and is useful for rental fleets, dealers, factories, and projects that operate in different locations.
What tire options are available for dual fuel forklifts? +
HAMAC dual fuel forklifts can be supplied with pneumatic tires, solid tires, or cushion tires. Pneumatic tires are suitable for outdoor yards and mixed surfaces, cushion tires are suitable for smooth and level indoor factory floors, and solid tires are useful where puncture resistance is important. The correct tire option should be selected according to the actual working surface.
What lift heights are available for dual fuel forklifts? +
HAMAC dual fuel forklifts can be equipped with duplex or triplex mast configurations. Standard lift height is typically 3000 mm, while optional lift heights can range from 3000 mm to 6000 mm depending on the forklift capacity, mast type, tire selection, attachment weight, and residual capacity requirement. Full free lift mast options can be selected for specific warehouse and container loading applications.
Can attachments be installed on a dual fuel forklift? +
Yes. HAMAC dual fuel forklifts can be equipped with side shifters, fork positioners, fork extensions, long forks, carton clamps, bale clamps, paper roll clamps, drum handlers, and other material handling attachments. Attachment weight and load center must be reviewed because they affect the forklift’s residual lifting capacity and stability.
What information is needed to select the right dual fuel forklift? +
Please provide the required capacity, load center, maximum lift height, pallet dimensions, indoor or outdoor working environment, ventilation condition, preferred tire type, local LPG and gasoline availability, daily operating hours, attachment requirement, quantity, and destination country. HAMAC can recommend a suitable LPG / gasoline dual fuel forklift configuration with the correct engine, mast, tires, cabin, and attachments.
