HT3007 Telehandler Improves Material Handling Efficiency in Warehouse Logistics

A HAMAC HT3007 telehandler is playing a key role in a warehouse logistics project, where it is being used to handle pallets, load trucks and stack goods at height in a busy distribution environment.

The 7.0 m, 3.0 ton machine was chosen by the warehouse operator to replace a combination of conventional forklifts and manual handling, with the aim of increasing throughput and reducing bottlenecks at loading docks and storage aisles.

Why the HT3007 fits warehouse logistics

With a maximum lifting height of 7.0 m and a rated capacity of 3,000 kg, the HT3007 offers enough reach to stack pallets on high racks while maintaining the compact dimensions needed to work between aisles and in yard areas.

The telehandler’s overall length to carriage of 4.65 m, width of 2.2 m and height of 2.55 m allow it to maneuver around storage zones, truck bays and mixed outdoor‑indoor areas without requiring major layout changes.

For this project, the machine is equipped with standard pallet forks and pneumatic tires, enabling it to operate on concrete floors inside the warehouse as well as on semi‑rough surfaces in the loading yard.

Daily tasks: stacking, loading and repositioning

On a typical day, the HT3007 is used to unload incoming pallets from trucks, move them to temporary staging areas and then stack them to higher storage positions.

The telehandler’s 3.0 ton capacity covers most palletized goods handled by the warehouse, including packaged building materials, industrial products and general merchandise.

Operators report that the ability to reach higher levels with a single machine reduces the need to reorganize stock frequently, helping to keep aisles clearer and improving overall flow.

Powertrain and performance tailored to logistics

The HT3007 in this warehouse is powered by a YN38GBZ four‑cylinder diesel engine rated at 103 hp (76 kW), delivering up to 400 Nm of torque at 1,400 rpm.

A torque converter transmission with two forward and two reverse gears provides a maximum travel speed of 35 km/h, enabling efficient movement between the yard and the warehouse without sacrificing control in tight spaces.

A gear‑type hydraulic pump with a flow of 120 L/min drives the boom and attachment functions, with standard cycle times of around 10 seconds for lifting, 7 seconds for lowering, 12 seconds for extension and 8.6 seconds for retraction.

Operator feedback from the logistics floor

Warehouse operators highlight the HT3007’s visibility and joystick control as important advantages when handling pallets near racking and other equipment.

“It feels more stable when lifting heavier pallets to the upper levels, and the boom movement is smooth enough to position loads precisely without damaging packaging,” one operator commented after several weeks of use.

The telehandler’s ability to operate both indoors and outdoors has also been noted as a benefit, reducing equipment changes between different areas of the facility.

Safety and integration into warehouse operations

Before putting the HT3007 into full operation, the logistics team implemented additional safety measures, including clear pedestrian walkways, marked lifting zones and updated operating procedures for mixed equipment traffic.

The machine’s immersed multi‑disc service brakes, automatic air‑cut parking brake and FOPS‑compliant cab support safe operation in busy environments where workers and vehicles share space.

Operators received training on load chart interpretation, boom positioning and daily inspections, ensuring the telehandler is used within its rated limits at all times.

Impact on warehouse efficiency

Since the HT3007 was introduced, the warehouse reports shorter loading and unloading times at docks and fewer delays caused by limited equipment availability.

By combining higher stacking capability with flexible movement between indoor and outdoor areas, the telehandler has helped the logistics team make better use of available space.

The operator plans to keep the HT3007 as a core part of its material handling fleet and is considering adding more HAMAC telehandlers for other sites as throughput requirements grow.
